Follow these steps to setup Outlook 2013 with your Frontpoint hosted Exchange service:

  1. Open Outlook. You will get the welcome wizard, click Next.
  2. Leave the default option as Yes, then click Next.
  3. Change the bullet to Manual setup, then click Next.
  4. Leave the option as default, Microsoft Exchange, then click Next.
  5. For the server name type in hostedexch01 and your username is your email address. Click on More Settings.
  6. Select the Connection tab, check mark the box, "Connect using HTTP", then click on Exchange Proxy Settings.
  7. In the Https:// field, type in exchange.frontpoint-it.com, then click OK.
  8. It will take you back to the screen you saw earlier, then click on Next.
  9. Then enter your username and password. Your username is your full email address. Click OK.

  1. Open Outlook. In the Outlook 2010 wizard, click next.
  2. Select the Manually Configure settings button, click next.
  3. Enter the server name, hostedexch01 and type in your email address. Click More Settings.
  4. Click OK if you see this pop up.
  5. Select the Connection tab. Check the box and click the Exchange Proxy Settings.
  6. Enter the following in the https:// field – exchange.frontpoint-it.com. Click OK.
  7. It will bring you back to this screen, click OK.
  8. Click OK if you see this pop up.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Finish, your email is now setup!

  1. Open up Outlook 2007. The Welcome wizard starts, click Next.
  2. Leave the default option at yes, then click Next.
  3. Check mark the box Manually configure, then click Next.
  4. Change the default to Microsoft Exchange, then click Next.
  5. Enter the Microsoft Exchange Server name as hostedexch01, then click More Settings.
  6. Select the Connection tab, check mark the box, then click Exchange Proxy Settings.
  7. In the Https:// field type exchange.frontpoint-it.com, then click OK.
  8. The screen will go back, then click OK.
  9. This box will pop up, click on OK.
  10. The screen will go back here, click Next to continue.
  11. Click Finish.

  1. Open Outlook for Mac 2011 and navigate to Tools > Accounts.
  2. In the Accounts window, click the plus sign ( ) in the lower-left hand corner and choose Exchange.
  3. In the new window, fill in the following fields, then click Add Account
    • Email address: This is your full email address
    • Method: Select Username and Password
    • User name: This is your full email address
    • Password: This is your Exchange Email Password
  4. Outlook will attempt to determine settings for the new Exchange account automatically. An auto-discover window will pop up that looks like the following. You must select Allow and check mark the “Always use my response for this server.
  5. This should be the end of configuration. Click OK to exit the screens. Your Outlook is now configured.

Follow these steps to setup your iPhone or iPad with your Frontpoint hosted Exchange service:


  1. Click on the settings button

  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars

  3. Select Add Account

  4. Select Exchange

  5. Enter your information: Email address and Password. Then select Next. 
    You may be asked for the server: 
    exchange.frontpoint-it.com

  6. Turn on the options you would like synced and save

  1. Open Mac Mail and select File then Add Account. On the next screen enter in your Full Name, entire Email Address, Password and click Continue.
  2. Enter your Name, Full Email address and your password
  3. Enter the following information into the fields below:
    • Account Type - Select Exchange 2007 if you're Snow Leopard or Exchange if you're on Lion (Mac Mail has not updated their Account type options for Exchange 2010 yet). Description - Enter in a descriptive name of your choice for your mail account (e.g., Work Mail).
    • Incoming mail server - In the Server address field implement the following: exchange.frontpoint-it.com
    • User Name - Enter in your entire email address (e.g., myname@example.com)
    • Password - Enter in the password associated with the email account you are setting up.
  4. Click the Continue button, check the Take Account Online Box and then click the Create button. Your account will then connect and mail data will begin to populate into your inbox.

  1. Locate your Settings icon within your App Drawer.
  2. Within Settings, scroll down and select Add Account.
  3. Select Email from within the Add account section.
  4. Enter your full Email Address and Password, then select Next.
  5. Select Microsoft Exchange Activesync for the Account Type.
  6. Enter only your email address in the Domain\Username section. Make sure your password is correct then add the following server in the Exchange server field: exchange.frontpoint-it.com. Then select the Next.
  7. You will be presented with a Remote Security Administration prompt. Select OK.
  8. Click Next on this screen. 
    Note: Do not select Sync SMS.
  9. Feel free to name your account, then select Done and you’re finished.

To configure Windows Phone 7 or a Windows Mobile device for Frontpoint's hosted Exchange, do the following:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • If you have a tile named Email setup on the home screen, press Email setup. Then skip to step 6.
    • Otherwise, follow the steps below.
  2. Press the right arrow button on the home screen to view the app list.
  3. Press Settings.
  4. Press email & accounts.
  5. Press add an account.
  6. Press advanced setup.
  7. Enter your email address in the Email address field. (this will be your full email address)
  8. Enter your password in the Password field.
  9. Press Next.
  10. Press Exchange ActiveSync.
  11. Do the following:
    • Enter Hostedexch01 in the Domain field.
    • Enter Frontpoint-it.com in the Server field.
    • Make sure there is a check mark next to Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection.
    • Change the Account name to Exchange. (This will be the name of your Exchange email tile.)
  12. You may make the following optional changes, as desired:
    • By default, Windows Phone 7 will retrieve email messages that are three days old (or newer). To change this setting, press the Download email from field and select a new time interval. To synchronize all Exchange email with your device, select any time.
    • By default, Windows Phone 7 will synchronize Exchange email, contacts, and calendar. If you use Exchange calendar, you should also choose to sync Exchange email.
  13. When you are done, press sign in.

Windows Phone 7 is now configured for Exchange.
