How to Create a New Profile In Outlook 2013
One of the easiest fixes for Outlook problems, is to create a new mail profile. Please make sure that you know your email password, and any other information necessary to setup your email. This information will vary depending on how your email service is configured.
To begin, close Outlook and any other Microsoft Office programs.
Open "Control Panel" this can be found in your Start Menu.
Locate the "Mail" Icon, you may have to switch your Control Panel view to find it easier.
Click on "Show Profiles"
Highlight the profile you wish to fix (usually there is only one profile anyways), and click "Remove". A box will pop up asking if you are sure you want to remove the profile. Select "Yes". Click "Apply" and then "Ok"
Now open Outlook 2013. You should be greeted by a new profile box. Name your profile, it doesn't really matter what the name is. I usually use the profile name "Mail".
Next, you will have to configure your email account. If you are using a hosted exchange in your organization, ask your IT department how to configure it properly.
Follow the steps provided by your IT department to finish setting up your email. If you are using our hosted Exchange, refer to the instructions in your Email Self Help section.
